It's quite a secluded place isn't it ?

How much does the cost of delivering materials etc contribute to the final bill ? I can't find it but I was following a chap who built a gorgeous house in the top of Scotland and I remember delivery being a constant headache. If it helps he was a music producer of some sort and commuted in an RS6 for a while.

It was a really good read.

Dave!

Steve Carter (was HighlandRampage on twitter). Gordon Murray has a house close to his.

(I chatted to him as I wanted to get the score to one of his tracks that is on uchoob - to see if someone could create a score specific to a string quartet - but he’d discarded it  )

Particularly if (like his Neighbour (presumably Mr Murray)) you have a helicopter (as per page15)....... :geek:

Aside: 5mins sleuthing didn't confirm Mr Murray as the owner of that 'copter (I didn't expect to see his name, but I thought a company operator name might give a clue), but that picture was taken for Steve's house update posted July2006, and the 'copter was operated by Honister Slate Mine from October2006, the owner of which lost their life when they crashed it in 2011. link to BBC article
Aircraft is still in operation, so obviously wasn't written off in that accident.

Yep, they've left the building and it's been secured and sealed with metal security panels and doors.
Just catching up - fantastic news!
