It's definitely lowest common denominator stuff. Mike, I don't know if you ever go round the Worcester bypass towards Malvern but there seem to be regular serious crashes at the Ketch roundabout these days. The roundabout itself is a 40 limit and dual carriageway coming up to it is 60 from both sides, so the proposal is to drop the dual carriageways' speed limit to 40. That'll be fucking ridiculous; the accidents are happening due to poor sight lines and bad layout so they need to address that rather than slowing everyone down. You can bet it'll be enforced heavily too.
