There was a very good deal on the eletre last week, and now this.
I got an email last week offering 0% finance on an i4 with a balloon payment at the end of the period.

What is the market like for Emiras at the moment? Just wondering if that had anything to do with Harry's timing of selling his.

If I wasn't looking for something with four seats next, I'd definitely be going for a test drive in one.
Cheers,

Mike.

Definitely a buyers market, lots to choose from but seemed to have bottomed out at the low-60's .... for now.

I did wonder if the lack of supply might firm the prices, as Lotus claimed recently that new orders wouldn't be shipped until 2026 but that's now moved back to 2025.

Just don't rule out a later model Evora. I think the later 410's could be the one one have and are (according to others) a better drive.

Once more reinforcing the point that V6 is the only choice.

Back down to <70 Emira's on AT now. They seem to have found the bottom of the market at the moment....wonder if that due to being propped up by the Evora market, supply issues (according to Lotus) or just where the demand currently sits.

I quite liked the sound of the AMG engine in that. And the V6 has a constant supercharger whine which I’m sure would be just as annoying as the turbo whistle.

Watching that has made me wonder if I should have tried a 4-cyl Emira. It wasn’t the engine that put me off the A110. But now I’ve driven a 718 Boxster S with 4-cyl turbo and similar power and weight to the Emira AMG, that reinforced the desire for the 992 so I’m glad I didn’t buy the Lotus.

Strange review that. :? He highlights a clear issue with one of the front brakes - which is causing vibration at speed and creating a load of brake dust - ‘cos that’s what happens if a brake is dragging for some reason, and then overheating at high speeds) but he doesn’t seem to link that to the degraded performance at and approaching Vmax. :?

Why you’d even attempt to do some extended higher-speed runs in a car with a recognise brake fault……?

I really thought the 4 pot would be the pick of the bunch, dumb in hindsight, especially as the a45s engine wouldn’t address a lot of the criticism.

Odds on Lotus either brought gearbox calibration in house to try to do it on the cheap or stiffed AMG on payments to do it for them.

That company just makes me sad now.

Komotec have significant experience with the Exige/Evora/Emira V6 - this one is running their 475bhp upgrade kit (circa £6k fitted).

One lap with everyone's favourite ringmeister Misha.

Loads of traffic so no real indication of lap times.

'Watch out' uttered by the passenger in the very first clip. At least if Misha keeps driving it, we'll find out how an Emira stands up to an accident.

That looked like a lot of fun. A little surprised Komotec didn't upgrade the brakes or make it louder (maybe the mic muted the exhaust)

I'll have all the Emira improvements put back into the small platform thanks.

I rather enjoyed this vid.

Not the most logical head-to-head (but they do fully explain why they've done it) : Launch-edition Emira vs rather more expensive, powerful, heavy, and focussed (super sticky tyred, significant aero etc) Corvette Z06.

Initial spoiler:
Spoiler
Given the above, it's probably no great surprise that the Corvette most thoroughly pulled down the Emira's pants. I was quite surprised at how much more playful the Z06 appeared however, and that the lap time.... see 2nd spoiler in case you haven't got that far into the video

Secondary spoiler
Spoiler
was faster than the latest GT3RS, and faster than a BAC Mono  That's really rather impressive.

As was the fact the Emira posted a faster time than a 4.0 Cayman GTS

Good video. Sad that Lotus are dropping the ball in delivery delays and quality as clearly they're making something extremely desireable still.

I followed up by watching their Cayman video and it's interesting that the Manual/DSG and Cup/Not tyres seem to balance out in terms of times.

Corvette is a monster, but an eight speed auto seems so wrong to me.

Looks great on that ride height. Nice if you want a modified car.

I assume that by "Indoor Car" he means it's garaged? I don't think I've seen that terminology used before :?

Announcement of Emira SE with 400bhp for "2025" seems to have been low key?

Probably because they already know it’ll launch in 2027 after inevitable delays?
