Today’s want
Re: Today’s want
The prices on tdfs are bonkers tbh. I’m pretty sure a couple sold for over a mil last year.

Nah, there's no need for the rest of those changes - just spacers!

Restomods normally do my head in and IMO the 355 is the prettiest car ever (sorry @Jobbo), but I like almost everything about that.

The 355 didn’t deserve that
The back end looks like it’s pointing upwards - like those women who have Botox/fillers in their arse.

How about not having a sig at all?

It’s got 288GTO-esque triple cut-outs.Mito Man wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 11:23 pm The 355 didn’t deserve that![]()

With restomods everything has to be inspired by the evocative nod to the lineage of the harking back to the design cues, sympathetically updated iconic ubiquitous dicknose.

Re: Today’s want
It is a pretty car. Just misses out because in profile the rear wheels aren’t central in the arches. And because it already looks a bit like a Max Power bodykit on a 348Simon wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 11:15 pm Restomods normally do my head in and IMO the 355 is the prettiest car ever (sorry @Jobbo), but I like almost everything about that.

Got me looking at the AMG Shooting Brake versions of the newer shape - there's a 2013 one for £18k. That's probably where I'd put my money to use it rather than simply look at it and rev it on the drive

Re: Today’s want
Any with anything like as good a colour combo?
Re: Today’s want
No - I think designo Mercs are much rarer than Individual BMWs. And usually only SLs or just black leather so not particularly interesting. That CLS is pretty restrained, even.
Re: Today’s want
Yes, far less common, and as you say, usually far more restrained/boring.
This is a similar price to that CLS but I could afford the running costs*; https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 32aad6ff31
*Doesn't include getting a garage to keep i in.
