They always look like they need wheel spacers. The diameter and ratio of tyres/wheel/arches is perfect, they just need them to sit a little further out - particularly the fronts. Lovely looking cars though.

Restomods normally do my head in and IMO the 355 is the prettiest car ever (sorry @Jobbo), but I like almost everything about that.

It is a pretty car. Just misses out because in profile the rear wheels aren’t central in the arches. And because it already looks a bit like a Max Power bodykit on a 348

Got me looking at the AMG Shooting Brake versions of the newer shape - there's a 2013 one for £18k. That's probably where I'd put my money to use it rather than simply look at it and rev it on the drive

No - I think designo Mercs are much rarer than Individual BMWs. And usually only SLs or just black leather so not particularly interesting. That CLS is pretty restrained, even.

Yes, far less common, and as you say, usually far more restrained/boring.
