I was pondering this yesterday. I don't know either. Anything I ever buy on ebay (that isn't a buy-it-now) is won in the dying seconds of the auction.....

There’s a trade auction that I’ve bought a load of tat from, which has a rule where if any new bids are received in the last couple of minutes of an auction, it extends the closing time by a few minutes. It’s a good rule, as it’s more like a real auction, the bids can keep coming until everyone’s done.mik wrote: Tue Mar 14, 2023 3:39 pmI was pondering this yesterday. I don't know either. So if it gets £1,000,000,000,000 or more we just give the money to charity..... fair enough.Gavster wrote: Thu Mar 16, 2023 3:38 pm Still there with 5 hous to go
Given that the hammer price could fall halfway between one of our bets, here's the halfway points between each person's bids:
@mik £0 - £87,300
@ZedLeg £87,301 - £103,800
@Gavster £103,801 - £222,500
@nuttinnew £222,501 - £999,999,999,999
Let me get the rubber gloves and the Crisp 'n' Dry first....Gavster wrote: Thu Mar 16, 2023 8:39 pm Aaaaand the winner is.... @mik!
