Tremendous, unbeatable novelty value, and obviously a hell of a lot of work has gone into it, but I'm disappointed. It would be fair enough if it sounded Spitfire-y and was genuinely fast (surely that's the point), but it sounds broken and is quite slow?

Plus it's hideous. All those lights on the front are making my eyes go funny.

Having said that, I'm glad it exists, but I won't be bidding, thanks.

Don't want to be pedantic, but I'm pretty sure that the engine isn't a Merlin but a Meteor. The Meteor was the non-turbo version of the Merlin as fitted to tanks.

Apparently it originally had a Meteor, replaced with a Merlin (sans ‘charger) after the fire. click here - similar comments on other sources.
