Re: Addictive Word/Puzzle Games

Have added it to my daily "round". Not as fiendish as the TV version, but worth a minute or two. Ironically, I keep forgetting about it. Today's is a good example of when americanisms (or an american lens) thwart your efforts. I wasn't aware of most of their "classic party gam...

If it turns out to be correct - absolutely !! I'll be putting the price up by £1k 8-)
So new bolts, or existing with some extra washers? Just to prove the concept of course..... and you can then replace with new bolts just before you sell it. :geek:

Re: Today’s want

Still don't understand why manufacturers continue with "Gear Stick" in automatics. Merc's stalk is way better and leaves a much cleaner centre console That's one of the things I could not get used to in the EQA we had recently. I'd be fine if it was a separate stalk on the RHS, but making...

Re: Today’s want

I really like some of that Morgan - wheels and doors for example 8-) . Removal of the windscreen however is IMHO turtley stoopid. It really needs a gear knob like this one. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/proxy/9PhOf2j-lhEVpjG_3RdI_E_9sl21s7svil0YWoxEDjn82h3YXjOr4WE5fxtiiKeMoK0xHHR2VqwHoRE8...

The genius Bobby Fingers. I posted before about his dioramas of Mel Gibson getting arrested for drink driving and Michael Jackson's hair getting set on fire during a shoot for a Pepsi commercial , so this is the obvious follow up: the Jeff Bezos Rowing Boat. It's nearly half an hour but I promise y...

Re: The Wine Thread

I used to be fiend for buckfast tbh. I used to neck a bottle of it before I went out. I went to a wedding not so long back where groom #1’s family got on the bus and all started tanning Bucky - we rolled most of them off the bus for the evening service. I thought they were nuts until the mum of gro...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Is a biscuit tin more practical than a faraday cage bag thingydoodah? Do you want to keep your keys safe whilst enjoying a wee chocolate hob nob when you head out in the car? It was cheaper ! Would a bag be better ? Genuine question. If the bag’s advantage is portability, surely it’s only useful if...

Re: Uber Black: Ar$e reviews of back seats

Not Uber Black, but I was in the back of a new C-class taxi today for just over an hour. The seat base was so short and uncomfortable that I messaged ScottA to moan about it… and he’s not even partly responsible!

Re: Today’s want

Was away on business this week in Europeland. Was picked up from the hotel by a colleague I hadn’t met before in a 1989 Volvo 740 Estate. 215,000 km, scruffy outside, but not a squeak, rattle or clunk. Brakes were silent and pulled it up straight. My favourite part was a 4speed box with overdrive on...

Some interesting comments on boatshoes.

Apparently lost it and ended up sideways, crashing on the inside of a first-gear bend, so definitely a weird one.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

I don't know enough about the man or the circuit or where the incident happened. They seem to be highlighting it was an accident in a sport known for dangerous accidents - everyone is pushing their equipment to and beyond the limit. He seems to be arguing that the circuit & organisers could have...

Also worth looking into gel seat covers? Can get them on line pretty cheap.
