Uber Black: Ar$e reviews of back seats
I’ve been using Uber Black a lot recently and I’ve come to the sad realisation that bright lights and temp controls really can’t compete with good, soft but supportive, rear seats.. the Mercedes E-Class has a terribly bench style seat in the rear, whilst the Audi A6 is actually more comfortable and has better leg room. The difference between the Merc E and S class wrt comfort is ridiculous.. I actually slept int he back of the S-Class and felt refreshed when I woke up; don’t think I’ve ever done that in many vehicles. BMW (and Jaguar to a lesser extent) are sadly missing from the usual hires, but I did have a quick 25mins journey to LHR in a 5 series that felt plush, but also dark. I reckon I’d enjoy a FFRR, so @Sundayjumper which is more comfortable; Bentley or FFRR?
Cheers,
Ian

I've been using Uber Black quite a lot recently as well, most of them seemed to be Escalade's in LA and they're great.
I was surprised that a Lincoln Navigator was deemed to be acceptable as a Black, but then pleasantly surprised by the seats, certainly comfier than the Escalade was.
We started off using Uber Comfort but they were all Tesla's and the room in the back of them is atrocious, it's like they were designed for the rear passengers to have no head.

Not Uber Black, but I was in the back of a new C-class taxi today for just over an hour. The seat base was so short and uncomfortable that I messaged ScottA to moan about it… and he’s not even partly responsible!

Hmm. TBH I’ve not spent much time sitting in the back of the Bentley. It’s a bit reckless when I’m driving
First impressions of the RR vs what I recall of the Bentley is pretty similar comfort although the Bentley has a lot more legroom. You’d need a LWB Range Rover to match it. General ride of the RR is softer. I’ve mentioned this before - the Bentley is actually quite firm.
I’ll try and back-to-back them tomorrow.

I had a GLE Uber last year and it was fecking appalling. Rock hard ride and a rock hard rear bench seat. Acres of crap plastic as well.
