Re: Luft Tokyo
The Shinkansen is amazing. It's so much more than just a fast train. The whole system is just everything done utterly right.
I'd say all the trains - not just the Shinkansen.
What was stood out for me was that all the train systems, from overground, tube equiv, regional or bullet - they all ...

Re: Decent Recent TV
Also, only 30 mins an ep and 6 of them? A lot of effort for not a lot..
Yeah, I think releasing it weekly was not the best idea - the first three episodes have had a nice build up, and the last three will finish it up.
Still, can't get that water cooler hyyyyyyyyyype if you release it all at ...

Re: Decent Recent TV
The first episode is very much "setting the stage" baseline stuff - it's entirely from the view of Dunc and Egg so there's not going to any other explanatory POVs or zooming around a continent etc so I suspect they kinda had to do that and pace it the way they did.
Also, there's no 'internal ...

Attenborough's latest docco.
Enjoyed.
However, they must have found the most photogenic foxes and pigeons in London! They are certainly not that good looking round my way

Re: Telephone Pole
Personally I don't think there should be any phone laws, we had driving without due care and attention and that should be enough.
The problem being as Jobbo says it will be a grey area and then too open to abuse.
I was quite happy being on my phone when it was legal but possibly affected my ...

Re: Pigs in blankets
We had sausages in bacon with our Christmas roast as children. They were just called sausages in bacon.
