Wife woke me up in the night to tell me. How sad. A bit of a troubled life but an incredibly funny actor. RIP.

Really sad to hear
There's been a few people who've gone too soon recently and I heard a great question the other day which puts it into perspective. There's the old cliche of "what would you do today if it was your last day on earth?" and the answers are often quite irresponsible, like walking out of your job, getting drunk with your friends and family, maxxing out your credit card etc. Instead, what would you do if you only have 10 years left? It's long enough to achieve a lot, but short enough to make life an urgent priority.

That last paragraph makes for somber reading. Was a shock to hear the news but at the same time also wasn't surprising to hear which is telling. He's been troubled for a long time, RIP.240PP wrote: Sun Oct 29, 2023 12:45 pm Interesting read

Always knew he had addiction issues. Didn’t realise they were to quite that level

Re: Matthew Perry
I reckon that egos could easily lead a celeb into paying premium prices for 'the best', but in general dealers love working with celebs because it makes the dealer feel special and celebs often buy a lot of gear, so they're a good client to have. But considering how dirt cheap K is at the street level, someone was making some serious money off him.

When drug dealers kill their most lucrative client, that doesn't seem good business.

He had a net worth of $120m and over $1.5m in his current account.. so his value for secret K is probably not that far off what a normal drug user pays, and he gets the guaranteed anonymity.
It’s sad how many comedians seem to suffer from low self esteem or addictive personalities.. maybe being seen to be happy constantly, even when you’re not actually happy, takes drugs and so they go down that dark path.

It's not that comedians suffer from low self esteem or addictive personalities, it's that people with those tendencies often become comedians
It's the class clown who's secretly unhappy and insecure. They seek attention, validation, and ultimately, love
