Evo on the tellybox
Just reading this month's Car of the Year issue and the ed speak bit says that at 8pm on the 22 + 23 December, ITV4 is showing a two part documentary about eCOTY

Yup. Looking forward to watching it. Hopefully it translates well onto the telly.

Oooh cheers for the heads up!
Re: Evo on the tellybox
Yeah I saw that! The second half is up near me so I dare say I will recognise a road or two.

Me too. I was hoping having a professional production team would make it interesting to watch, but so far they're just prattling on without introduction or context. How many viewers know what evo is?

Re: Evo on the tellybox
The first ten minutes before the ad break was just 'content free expression' that could've wrapped up in 30 seconds.
Yeah, it needs a bit of a narrative, but hey as long as the guys are describing the cars and thrashing them, I'm happy

But they're not even doing that very well. Too much arty-farty camera work, too many cuts.

Admittedly the music and cuts etc are a bit 1997 corporate video, but hey it's itvDeskJockey wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 8:34 pm But they're not even doing that very well. Too much arty-farty camera work, too many cuts.
Re: Evo on the tellybox
Arse - I had this in my head as starting at 9pm.
Watching for a few minutes now.

Re: Evo on the tellybox
Well the last 20mins had some of the stuff I wanted to see.... but not the discussions-over-pints and piss taking that I really wanted to see.
Re: Evo on the tellybox
Basically a 20 minute YouTube video stretched out to an hour. Not obvious why it needs to be on telly at all.

On t'web it'd have been edited down and lost nothing. Nice to have decent car content on normal telly so mustn't grumble really.
