My 318ti is actually a 1.9. Our 320i is actually a 2.2. Neither m3 is a 3.0 :evil:

Exactly why my mate has just scambled to get one of the last 340i tourings. The new > september emission regs mean you can no longer order one, so he got in in August and takes delivery next week. The replacement will be a 4 cylinder car with FWD or 4WD. :(

So they’ve managed to make the straight 6 in the M4 emissions compliant but not the supposedly more efficient run of the mill 6 banger in the 3 series?
How about not having a sig at all?

Think you’re confusing the 1 series with the 3 Ste. The M340i, like all other 3 series will be RWD or Xdrive .

I expect it's more a case of not worth the effort for normal models when they can just do multiple versions of the same engine.

Mercedes and vw have been getting reliable similar to 35/40i power from a four parper for a while so no surprise BMW we're going to go down the same route.

Can't be right can it. If it has 18 discs then what alloy size to clear the calipers? 20 or 21"?

To be honest I find the badging placed below the crease line on the boot the most offensive thing about that car :lol:

4cyl in a high riding hatch crossover MPV thing is just a bit 'meh', badge dilution aside.

I think it’s to do with production numbers as well as emissions

Audi looks to be following Tesla's numbering approach.

Well I like this X2. 300bhp, AWD, one hopes with some dynamicism to the steering and balance of the 4WD system. It's like a Golf R with better visibility. What's wrong with that :D

edit: of course 6 cylinders would have been better still.

Most people will understand the hierarchy of the model range (bigger number = it being more betterer 😂) but most people couldn't give a fuck what's under the bonnet because they treat cars like white goods.

His car will also be like mine and have a petrol particular filter fitted (build date July 1st onwards) meaning it's a little quieter and most of the pops and burbles have gone. Still sounds nice while being hammered though!!

Yes. All to do with the new WTLP tests that have all manufacturers in a flap over co2 and mpg. Worst on diesels making ordering new cars problematic over recent months. One colleague had his Q5 cancelled by Audi along with 76 others via one dealer because of this.

Can't see any reference to the disc size on that pages and a quick google suggests 3 or 4 inches difference between wheel and disc size so I expect they'd actually have to be 21" wheels to comfortable clear it.

As Rich suggests it just looks like an error. A Chiron has 16 inch front discs :lol:
