Also for the people who cba with claying have you tried the ones which just use water as a lubricant? I use AM Details but I think Bilt Hamber may be the same, just wash the car as normal and then clay it whilst the car is wet, have the hose on a light spray to keep the panels wet. I did the whole truck in less than 10 mins. Then dry car as usual.
Usually before you wax you should remove any previous coatings and oils so the new wax adheres better. I use Bilt Hamber cleanser which is just fancy IPA but it removes all the tar and sap which is left. Only way to remove tar quickly is with a solvent but that strips the wax so I only do it if I’m going to wax the car.
I think ceramic coatings claim to be solvent proof but it will reduce their life too but I don’t mess with them at all (that’s the actual ones sold in a tiny bottle for £££)

I had a Bilt Hamber bar that you could use with just water. I fecking hated it. Binned and got another brand for use with lube. I don't really like claying tar either, as it just introduces unnecessarily large clumps of crap into the bar.

I use a clay mit which you just dip in fresh soapy water.

It's not quite as effective as a proper bar, but very quick and easy and gets most of the crap off.

Never used the Bilt Hamber one as the AM Details one is so good with hardly any marring, don’t think I’ll try it in the future either following your endorsement

I tend to use water with a tiny smidge of car shampoo in it for lubricationification.

They're nice. But roof definitely needs sorting. A contractor at a previous customer had one and his only complaint was that the wheels buckled easily. He'd had his straightened several times as potholes took their toll.
