Ive had worse Monday nights
Went with a mate to Aberdeen to look at this
Which was duly purchased and then driven back home by me!

They make quite a nice noise, don't they?

Re: Ive had worse Monday nights

I used to see one of these every day where I used to work. Lovely excessive engine to bodywork ratio.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Ive had worse Monday nights
I really enjoyed mine - the TC isn't totally switchoffable (you can only turn off the ASR) but it allows more slip in sport mode and with gearbox in manual. It's also a shame there's no rev-matching on the downchanges.
Just make sure the gearbox has it's 40k/80k changes, get it to a reputable specialist and they're very reliable.
Hearing that V8 with the roof down is awesome

When does your mate open his salon?
Seriously though, I think I'd go for an SL63 given the SLK's are not really schporty handling wise. No idea what the price differential is to that one but this facelift for 29k looks good value for 500+hp

ETA: ok so on checking the SLs are a lot more, even if you went for the older SL55 which is pretty ancient.

Re: Ive had worse Monday nights
an SL55 wouldnt fit in his garage. Too long.
Re: Ive had worse Monday nights
Yes and to be honest if I had to choose between an older design SL55 and an SLK55 I'd go for the SLK too, garages aside.

Re: Ive had worse Monday nights
I'm afraid the cock nose styling and auto box mean it's a big fat no from me, but I do admire the silliness of them.
Cheers, Harry
