i don’t think anyone questioning the particular cars on this thread has any issue with running older cars. My daily driver is a 2008 M3.

Never been on my radar before, but I think they’d make quite a good replacement for my Integra (if/when). Had a quick look on Autotrader, pity the colour choices are limited.

I like the metallic red above.

Ditto, especially with those rims.

They weren't on my radar either but at that price I'm tempted too. What's the "well known ECU issue"? That I don't know about..

These 135i all seem to be quick on track as well.

Mine would have to be a coupe even though a hatchback would be better as a daily. I can’t live with its look.

Are they £500+ to tax or the cheaper rate? 🤔

They didn't do the 35i in the hatch. Only the 130i. That wpuld be my choice personally but then I'm biased!

140i is way more refined than the 135i was, especially now it's not running on solid tyre pressures. The piped in noise is much less obvious. It seems to suffer from less body roll too.

They've added an oil temp reading in the dash display which is nice.

I just fathomed out the BMW ConnectedDrive gubbins, buried deep in some sub-menu you have to log-in in the car to activate it all. All very smart and integrated, although I do wonder if being able to unlock your car from another country via the phone app isn't an insurance claim waiting to be rejected.

I did some spirited driving yesterday and the TC was flashing a lot in the upper gears, so I think these S001's are going to have to go. David Yu told me he has put Cup 2s on his, which might be a step too far for me.
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

They're £315 band Kin

They go pretty well on the road too, esp with near 400bhp 8-)

Surely ps4s are the obvious choice.

Pretty sure nic had suspersports which the 4s have replaced on his jb4'd m135i

I always tend to do A & B roads with it in dynamic stability mode (one short press of Traction button) as it allows more sideways movement and more slip whilst retaining the safety net.

The connected drive app is pretty good and I use it a lot for the Navy and to check if I've locked it as I often can't remember even though I always have 😂😂

Cup2's are chuffin' expensive and a little to extreme for me as mine is a high mileage daily. PS4 is the way forward and go for higher load rating on the fronts to help with outer edge wear. The front MPSS on mine are nearly bald on the shoulders with decent tread left on the rest of the tyre.

Cheers. Looking at Autotrader, 125i also have 3L engines :D very confusing for a non-BMW guy

Thanks Mike. Yeah, cheap 400bhp is the main appeal over something like E46 M3, although I do love E46 M3!

No complaints but they don’t wear so well, and for the mileage you do.....

E82 coupe (and E88 convertible) both had a choice of straight 6 3 litres

A n/asp 3 litre with 215bhp and electrically assisted steering
A twin turbo 3-litre N54 with 302bhp up to 2010 and then the single turbo N55 from 2010 till death around 2013 - hydraulically assisted steering

( there was also the 1M coupe but sadly Despite the experts at the time saying it wasn't a proper Mcar because of the turbo it has held its value pretty well - that uses a higher output version of the N54 3-litre rated at 335bhp )

They are quite spacious in the back from what I remember of the electric one - although my definition of spacious may vary as I grew up in the back of the 6 series so I’m used to having my head brush the headlining, upright seats and cosy spaces.
How about not having a sig at all?

How come 335i is similarly priced to 135i? 🤔
