go on - get it out of your systems now... :p
Excellent!! I love mine. What colour, what extras??
Will you be doing much driving in the rain? Or on motorways?
Or on straight roads?
Nice one. The adaptive dampers are a must have as far as I am concerned. I rides so much nicer during day to day driving than one with passive dampers and for the amount of motorway miles I do that's great. The Shadow Editions are nicely specced as standard too.tim wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 11:57 am Black Shadow Edition, black interior, Auto of course. Adaptive M suspension, electric front seats and front & rear parking sensors. I only wanted the adaptive M suspension but this was a car immediately available so took it. 20% off list via CarWow.
Yeah the Harmon Kardon hifi is a nice addition - the one thing I didn't like about my M135i was the shit standard stereo. They have Nav as standard now as well, but whether it's the professional one or not I don't know - either way in-car navs are usually shite compared to Waze.McSwede wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 1:15 pmNice one. All std BMW sound systems I've experienced are pretty shit. The HK one is pretty good IMO. IIRC the prof nav was an option but is very good especially used in conjuction with the connected drive app.tim wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 1:55 pmYeah the Harmon Kardon hifi is a nice addition - the one thing I didn't like about my M135i was the shit standard stereo. My vRS has done 10k in depreciation in 3 years and 40k miles, which isn't too shoddy all told I thought. It's been a fabulous car that I've really enjoyed owning, but I've unfinished business with the M and the right deal was in front of me. Hard to say no to. Will probably miss the space a bit, but we'll manage.
FTFY
Y'see, AFAIC the adaptive dampers are irritating. It just doesn't feel as well tied down as it should. It's also too soft in Comfort and too unforgiving in Sport. I only use Sport to speed the rack up as that's irritatingly slow in Comfort. Just give me a good passive setup please.McSwede wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 1:15 pmNice one. I just went onto BabyBMW and found a thread about this. I need to start hand-wringing and wailing about it now or something. I dunno. I think I might just enjoy my new car.McSwede wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 2:09 pm Yours will be a PPF equipped car like mine but mine ran really strong on the dyno running upto 360hp and 406lb/ft, which makes it rather briskYou'll notice it'll be quieter than your previous one being a PPF car but after a few miles mine started to pop nicely and does even more so if you activate dynamic stability. It's more sublte and less shouty than the pre-PPF cars and I like that.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine!
One make forums always get a bit "special" about things like this. Enjoy your new car. They're great!tim wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 3:44 pm
