Here’s your problem
No it isn't. The problem is having a friend who's a racist scumbag.

Even I can't blame Facebook for what people say on there. It's only a portal.

He “shared” a post

Not one he wrote himself

He might not have seen this, or had become so deeply indoctrinated into his hatred, had he not (presumably) found other people saying the same as he thought and then worse. It’s validated his view and then (possibly) gone on to make him more racist, more bigoted

It’s not a Facebook problem, it’s an internet problem. But Facebook isnt helping here

Say you like cars

Then you go on a car forum website, and read and learn lots about cars, surrounded by people telling how great cars are

You’re bound to start liking cars even more than before. You really love cars now. Maybe you were previously only really interested in Ferrari’s, but someone on the forum has been going on about McLarens a lot, and so have some other people. Now you like McLarens too, even if before you didn’t know much

It’s like that. But instead of liking cars, you dislike Muslims.

You could take a leaf out of the NZ PMs book and not even refer to him by his name. (Which I assume is racist scumbag).

6 days after the attack, laws passed. This afternoon it became illegal to own a semi automatic and military rifle.

And this post sums up NZ at the moment: https://www.facebook.com/DeonSwiggsNZ/p ... 2821485513

Tomorrow we hold a commemorative ceremony at work (being a national memorial and all...) for 2mins of silence exactly one week after the event and we expect the park outside to host somewhere like 20,000 people for a vigil at 6pm...

We had one American tourist come into the museum this week and ask a staff member if they could leave flowers with them in remembrance even though we're 1200kms away. We also had an Australian who started getting ranty about it all and our Director and our Security boss escorted them off the premises...
