I don't have any decent images showing the final design from the exterior, just the planning drawings in pdf form. I'll see if I can do something to show them here.
And I am the man loitering, so yes

ah, yep - makes sense now. Should be lovely once all sorted - particularly as you have a big plot for it to sit in.Jobbo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:25 pm The sunroom is not going to be a separate room - it'll be an extension to the end of the sitting room. That end bit of the sitting room was a 1980-ish extension which is a bit orphaned internally; by making it bigger it'll be a useful space in its own right. Only just noticed that the existing sliding patio doors are still shown. It also gives a bit of architectural balance to the end of the house, and maximises the views of the garden.
What is shown as a dining room on there isn't used as a dining room either; that's my study. And I'm championing utility rooms because, with 5 cats and 2 dogs, it's bloody useful to have space to feed them and keep them apart sometimes!
It's not really a lot of rooms; there's a study, a living room which has two distinct areas and a large open plan kitchen/dining/family room.
That’s across the road from the last flat I had in Edinburgh. I loved living round there.Nefarious wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 5:31 pm New one purchased end of last week:
Can you tell I viewed this one when my eyes were all bandaged up![]()
Get the keys next Friday, so all the horribleness will be gone by Monday/Tuesday. Hopefully it will be all shiny, modern, and ready to rent two weeks later...
