I've spent most of my life living within about 20 miles of Liverpool. Whenever anyone asked me where I was from, I'd say "near Manchester".
Having spent the first 18 years of my life living within 5 miles of Hull I understand the sentiment

Very pleased to hear that things are looking up for you Jimmy 8-)

It really is amazing just how many people suffer on in silence.

God bless every one of them though

Glad to hear it Jimmy. 8-) Now you just need to buy yourself another Alfa.

Thankfully I've never experienced it, but I've had friends who have and thankfully recovered.

Well done Jimmy.

A guy I went to uni with died earlier this year. He was one of those guys who oozed in confidence, was clever and a decent chap. I only found out today that he committed suicide due to his severe depression and his mom was campaigning for greater mental health awareness. He was the same age as me, 31, which hits it home  .

We're pretty open about mental health in our office, but then that's a function of workplace stress :D

I'm currently on citalopram, which is doing a decent job of curbing the anxiety, and giving me a bit more energy too, although it's mostly nervous energy which is kind of ironic.

Literally sitting in doctors waiting room to discuss it, and get a repeat prescription ; I'm a lot more aware of problems in my life (which I wasn't really before, to the same degree) just need to get to the stage of dealing with those problems now.

Not quite there yet, but I can see it happening at some point.

I'll never be normal, but if I can be less downright bizarre than I've been this year, that'd be a good start.

Also, good darts Jimmy! I'm not doing that though, one thing I've learned is that the ex was no good for me...

I'm sure you have experienced Alfa ownership. Did the trauma cause you to blank it out?
