For one to cost hundreds of thousands it'll have to be a Popular Plus model!dan wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 1:58 pmGMA are in financial dire straits, they'll be building more final editions than Pagani.Zonda_ wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 1:11 pmHave they not been sold out for a while?speedingfine wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 1:05 pm I think he's being coy and it is a GMA T33. The 12 banger stick shift starts somewhere about three quarters of a million quid so I doubt it's that.

I expect the manuel will depreciate a lot initially as well so unsure that fits with your thesis!Jobbo wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 9:35 amIt is expensive, but I am starting to think that Harry was being coy about the price so it could be that. I think that given he has mentioned it is going to personalised then it’s likely something along the lines of a 788HS personalised by MSO.
ETA - the 788 is also limited edition (200 units) and built by MSO rather than fettled by them so I think that makes it a bit more likely.
Re: Harry’s Garage
I was assuming the Manuale might end up appreciating but it is a front-engined V12 Ferrari so perhaps not. 1499 cars isn't particularly limited either.
Mind you, I don't envisage any McLaren being a good investment so really can't see it being the 788HS either.
Still have a feeling it's a Singer or something like that - Tuthill, Theon or whatever, though Singer is the biggest name in that field and therefore likely to have strongest residuals. He's said before he was uncomfortable about the value of the Zonda and a Singer is in the same sort of value ballpark at which he sold the Zonda, but it's a 911 so doesn't attract the same attention. And it's a much more usable car for road trips with luggage space etc. Maybe I'm biased because the Singers were the cars that stood out for me at Goodwood FoS this year
I'd love it to be a Kimera (which would be on my Euromillions immediate purchase list) but I think they're less suited to Harry's use.
Best of luck to him getting £140k or more for the Project 8 next month which will mean we get to find out

I think the evo37 looks absolutely fantastic, but I really wish they hadn't stuck with a 4-pot (yeah the 037 was a 4-pot, but they've changed so many other bits I don't think the engine format should be sacrosanct, and for £420k odds......)Jobbo wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 12:13 pm I'd love it to be a Kimera (which would be on my Euromillions immediate purchase list) but I think they're less suited to Harry's use.
I base this opinion on - click timestamp below....
If I was going to get a 4-pot rally rep restomod that I could heavily configure, I'd save some mullah and go for one of the MST options

Re: Harry’s Garage
If you want to hear a Group B car with more than 4 cylinders, it has to be a Quattro or a 6R4. I like the way it sounds and a Stratos V6 for example would sound weird coming from an 037.mik wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 12:49 pmI think the evo37 looks absolutely fantastic, but I really wish they hadn't stuck with a 4-pot (yeah the 037 was a 4-pot, but they've changed so many other bits I don't think the engine format should be sacrosanct, and for £420k odds......)Jobbo wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 12:13 pm I'd love it to be a Kimera (which would be on my Euromillions immediate purchase list) but I think they're less suited to Harry's use.

I love the evo37, it’s by far my favourite of any restomod / homages so far. Don’t really see it as very ‘Harry M’ though.

A Jaguar Type 01 SVO? He mentioned that he had just spent some time with one in the video?

The state of that interior, what a disaster.
A huge 4 seater car that is both crampt and awkward to get in and out of.
When he started I was starting to warm to it but seeing the video while he sat in it just made me think what a waste. People will buy this for the outside looks and it will be a sales disaster as everyone realises they can't carry people or shopping

You would have fixed those door openings after the first mock up, realise that the central spine only belongs in a concept car or possibly a coupe, and considered that someone might want to use the boot as a boot.
Surely a chunk of the market opportunity for this is a niche alternative to a high spec EQS or i7, but a C-class or 3 series has way more usable space.
I think it might as well have been sub 5 metres and 2 doors

So much reminded me of the Rover SD1. First the steering wheel, then the symmetrical dashboard, then the hatchback with a high load lip. Hope the Jaguar is more reliable from the start.
Honestly, I could imagine the Type 01 may not really sell any cars at all. It's not so stylish that you'd buy it despite the compromises, and the size of it, the tiny boot, the cramped access, limited range of options/colours and the price and likely depreciation surely aren't going to make any customers throw caution to the wind and place an order.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Packaging is odd the more I think about it. McMurtry managed to get a 100kw battery and 1000hp into a car less than 4m long. I don't understand why the rear motors are so huge that it takes up so much space.

I think it's a terrible design but honestly I think there is a niche for a EV GT that isn't well filled. And many markets will not give a hoot about it not fitting in a UK parking space.

The more I see it the less I like it
The packaging is so bizarre, I thought one of the big plus points of evs was that you were freed from traditional drivetrain constraints and could do what you want to some extent. Not jaguar though, they’re going back to the 1920s with a huge nose and tiny passenger compartment. Made even worse by wanting a modern low roof line.
I’d seen a couple of other vids which mentioned limited access, but wasn’t until Harry’s one when it’s not just the width of the opening, but also the height and depth of the sill which just makes it look ridiculous. Obviously there must be a structural reason, but including the rear quarter light and a bit of the dogleg on the door would have made it much more useable!
Those charging flaps? Is that really the best solution they could come up with? It was already annoying me before Harry mentioned them.
I can see it being just like the cybertruck, a meme car. Bought by a few celebs and influencers for the shock value, but expect actual sales figures to be poor.

Re: Harry’s Garage
Some interesting facts on Jaguar’s website; the rear seats fold to give 1000L boot space, 320 miles range at 75mph (probably dependent on wheels), length is shorter than any Rolls Royce inc Cullinan, and between a Bentayga and its EWB version, so not a deal breaker imho. Wall to wall turning circle is 11.5m, which is same a LWB FFRR. I can’t see any actual width info.
TL;dr - it’ll probably fit on UK roads better than expected

I see in some clips of it on the street that it has rear wheel steering, so that helps with the turning circle.IanF wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 7:17 pm Some interesting facts on Jaguar’s website; the rear seats fold to give 1000L boot space, 320 miles range at 75mph (probably dependent on wheels), length is shorter than any Rolls Royce inc Cullinan, and between a Bentayga and its EWB version, so not a deal breaker imho. For a car with no rear space or boot to be 25cm longer than my FFRR is ridiculous. Particularly when you factor into it that you'll be looking forward through a letter box and have a tiny digital screen for a rear view mirror. Manoeuvring it must be an absolute pig.
