Update: when we were there the kids picked up an issue of Supercar Driver. It was left open and I thought I recognised the person in the picture! It is none other than @David_Yu talking about his love of cars, especially Ferraris.DeskJockey wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 2:47 pm The local toy store had an open day with select customers invited to bring their cars to show in addition to what was in the showroom. There was free (proper) coffee and a decent buffet. Boys where besides themselves with excitement.
Caveat: I'm no @KiwiDave with the cameras and lenses. It is better than potatocam, but don't expect too much.
Decent opening gambit
Shiny bits
Nice cockpit you've got there!
Shiny exposed knob, linkages and rods...
The people magnet
Filthy loud
Family transport for the well-heeled person with many children who thinks a Cullinan is too common
A Singer, probably the least shouty thing there. Stunning details.
Aston Martin Valhalla
Might be a hybrid, but still...
Bugattii (is that the plural?)
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidescreen
Called "Goblin" because green! Owner was there, just had the engine recommissioned/rebuilt for a small six-figure sum. Opined it was cheap as the engine rebuild cost of the Chiron he was thinking of replacing it with would be closer to 500k.
One for @Marv. They had two other E46 M3s in stock, "just" the normal manual ones, though.
This was all in a sea of more pedestrian supercars, your boggo F458s, F488s, 812s, Aventadors, etc. And along the back G-wagons, a high-spec new Defender, a Cullinan (eeew), and an RR Coupe.
Hidden away (somewhat visible in a couple of pics ) were a Clio V6, R34 and R35 GT-Rs, and a Carrera GT.
Guest cars were mostly modern-ish with the Countach as the outlier.

I was a bit surprised to find his login. It’s AI edited, you see the shadow/footprint of the real car clearly as it drives past the camera.
Actually, it’s visible in the thumbnail too.

How about not having a sig at all?
