It’s shite. I had the highlights on this afternoon. Looked up and they’d jumped to lap 47 or something.
It’s a shame because the cars look fun to drive when they can actually race, but cars dropping 100kph on a straight while their foot is pinned to the floor, or having to roll through corners to have enough power to squirt it down the straights is just a nonsense.
Some of the closing speeds are just mad, I’m surprised it hasn’t caught more people out. I expect Ollie is glad there’s a bit of a break thanks to Trump.
No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
F1 may have shit engine rules and stuff, but at least incidents like this are a thing of the past

If you are bored, vote for BBC's most beautiful F1 car of all time.

Re: No F1 thread?
This thing should scare f1 bosses, if it ends up faster than f1 cars it’ll be embarrassing
Re: No F1 thread?
F1 cars will be safe but it’s supposedly faster than the current F2. It is seriously impressive how far they’ve come though. I think there will be a point in the next decade where they will converge with F1 so hopefully this makes the people running F1 realise that hybrid V6’s aren’t the future anymore so let’s just chuck a proper engine in it!
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
AWD on tarmac with sticky tyres, can't see that being a recipe for entertaining racing. Now if it were on rallycross tracks....jamcg wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 3:55 pm This thing should scare f1 bosses, if it ends up faster than f1 cars it’ll be embarrassing
Re: No F1 thread?
I don't care how fast EV racing gets - it's an awful thing to actually watch
