Your fleet running reports
Re: Your fleet running reports
I expected CSL dampers to be mega £££ - as mentioned, CSL tax and all but they're suprisingly reasonable.

That. Cars are looking great. Love the CS wheels. I too used the C5 when I had the Lotus & Audi wheels refurbed this year - it’s good stuff.
Re: Your fleet running reports
Definitely the finest car on the forum and until someone buys a 512TR in black, had the most want factor too

Nearly up to 300 miles - running in service is at 1200 miles and I need that to have been done before 5 May. I’ve been deliberately driving on the engine rather than pure EV mode to make sure it’s getting used so average economy is down to about 41mpg; journeys almost entirely on engine seem to achieve about 25mpg.
Looking forward to finishing running in.

Watched the Harry's Garage vid on his trip to Liverpool this evening Jobbo (as discussed in the HG thread) BRG looks good on them too (I'm assuming his is BRG) but Daytona Violet looks much, much nicer. Look forward to seeing how it compares with Porsche Amethyst Purple!
Thanks for the nice comments regarding the work I've done on the 968 & M3, everyone
Air filter comes in at £183. Just looked at the invoice for when I had an Inspection 2 carried out by Redish in 2019 and they only charged me £95 for the air filter. So it looks like they've doubled in price! Think I've already done around 500 miles since the last MOT

Yeah invoice for the rear dampers along with bumpstops and other bits came to £420 which isn't crazy. Though they're not trick dampers and Bilstein B1s can be had for a normal E43 3'er for maybe £60 eachMatty wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2026 11:34 pm I expected CSL dampers to be mega £££ - as mentioned, CSL tax and all but they're suprisingly reasonable. Will be interesting to see how the Gtecniq it performs with keeping the wheels clean, and how long it lasts. I also bought some of that Turtlewax on hybrid ceramic spray, but I thought for the wheels it's worth putting something more long term on them. Ceramic coating is a new fangled thing to me, so I'm intrigued on how it performs compared to the traditional waxes I've used in the past.mik wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2026 12:28 am I too used the C5 when I had the Lotus & Audi wheels refurbed this year - it’s good stuff.
Oui, je suis un motard.
Re: Your fleet running reports
I used poorboys wheel sealant in the past - the C5 definitely lasts way longer than that.Marv wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2026 9:23 pm

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’m trying out some of the cerakote ceramic sealant after being really impressed with their headlight restoration kit. I can see why detailers prefer it over wax. It’s pretty much no effort to apply, you only wait a minute and then buffing off is also easier than wax. Have to wait and see how long it lasts but I didn’t bother polishing or doing any prep other than wiping down with IPA.
How about not having a sig at all?
