Wouldn’t let that put you off. Most of the towns along the England-Wales border have rapid chargers now and Llandrinidod Wells has a few. Lots of the towns around there have 22kw AC (R5 will take 11kw) if you’re really in a pinch.

I think our R5 is genuinely fun. Downside is that the range isn't sufficient to drive to the Elan Valley and back so I won't take it out for a fun day's driving.

Im not up to speed and didn't realise you're the R5. One of the lads got one for his Mrs (himself) and loves it. Look great too!

Honda seem to be desperate to sell some eny1s again, if anyone is after some cheap EV motoring.

£8750 “Honda EV grant”, £10k finance contribution, £3k or so of retailer support, 0% finance and 5 years warranty/servicing. Works out around £200pm, £500 deposit.

Went for it - looks like I'll be 3 days in office soon so something comfier with adaptive cruise was calling me. Also, much as I love the i3, it doesn't really work for us with tall and growing kids in the back.

Nice 2019 i3S, 72k miles, grey with brown leather, will be up for sale in a couple of weeks - give me a shout if interested.

I believe that is only for the black cars which may now be all allocated, it will be £10-20 more for alternative colours.

Mine is from Marshalls in Reading. Apparently Honda have about 1000 of them, they're letting dealers market it.

There may be an adjustment depending on how long the conflict continues, but oil isn’t at the highs of 2022 (yet) and elec cars now have to pay VED so I’d guess not much will change..

ETA - but if you’re trying to convince the missus that one would be a sensible purchase, then absolutely! Will probably double in value over 3 years

Still anecdotal, but looking within five miles of home, prices are up 2-12p/litre since I filled up last week. That's across the board, with The nearest Shell at 1.469 as the high petrol mark.

Really glad the Tesla is all fixed up in time as driving to London last night I could see a lot of pumps were getting empty. Should be fine until the rolling blackouts start

Would have to go to three phase and the cost of that alone is uneconomical. Basically not worth doing until oil heating is banned.

Yeah, receiving the letter from the DVLA to tax the R5 was a bit annoying. Just over £100 for the year isn't too bad though.

Fuel prices near us are seemingly random; some places still selling at the old prices, some ramping up 30-40p/litre. I guess it's all in anticipation of the next delivery being more expensive.

Managed to get 1100 litres of oil for home at 55p/litre a couple of weeks ago - that was good timing, but I could have fitted 1500l in the tank and regret not filling it now

Does your wood burner heat your water too? They seem to be more widespread now and seem like a great solution.
