I've been reading Dilla Time recently, all about James Yancey (who later became known as J Dilla)

An incredibly influential hip-hip producer and sometimes rapper

I've been aware of and listening to his music, and music of people he worked with for years now, but it's been really nice to see the names again, and go back and dig out their music to re-listen

He really did work with an incredible group of people, and his influence on hip-hop and modern music in general goes way further...

This is a short list from ChatGPT:

Slum Village (T3, Baatin)
A Tribe Called Quest (Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad)
The Pharcyde
Common
Erykah Badu
D’Angelo
The Roots (Questlove, Black Thought, etc.)
Busta Rhymes
Q-Tip (solo projects)
Talib Kweli
Mos Def (Yasiin Bey)
Madlib (frequent collaborator; Jaylib)
Janet Jackson
De La Soul
Pete Rock
Proof (D12)
Frank-N-Dank
Karriem Riggins
Guilty Simpson
Amp Fiddler
Georgia Anne Muldrow
Spacek
Pharrell / The Neptunes (mutual respect and connection, limited direct collab)
Bilal
DJ House Shoes

Look at how much is left of that bottle of bucky. I think I'd be a bit Vic Reeves too

A little Christmas cheer:

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on
