New Twingo looks ace.



Sliding rear seats like the Inster so even lanky rear passengers (presenter is 6'5") can have room, at the expense of some boot space.

Awesome. Would love to see a resurgence of the small car. Renault are nailing it at the mo.

We seriously considered importing a series1 Twingo for mrs mik, but LHD was a step too far for her.

Series2 and later didn't have anywhere near the same funky-factor in the styling. Like series 1 Ka vs later fuglies.

That looks great though 8-)

I dont get why small cars have to be 5 door these days though. They are rarely used 4 up and access all round is compromised with short doors and apertures as is visibility with a b post in front of my shoulders. They also look better as 3 doors and must be cheaper to build!

May be a tall fat person problem though?

Europeans love them. I think the UK is an outlier in terms of having a good market for 3dr versions.

Short doors make life so much easier in car parks though.

Genuinely the biggest realworld advantage the M135i (five door) had over the E46 and the E86 - just not having to think about parking space separation/positioning that much.

meh, i hate the look of 4/5 doors - i always chose 2/3 for my cars.

Must admit I do prefer the practicality 4drs gives, bigger cars carry it off better mind you.

Much as I'm a bit Marmite with my Ioniq6, I can see the appeal in the new N variant.. bit more aggression, and 2.5x the shove 8-)

Don't mind the front, but back just doesn't work for me. I get it is for efficiency/aero, but it looks out of proportion.

The mk2 twingo had sliding seats that also had the option to fold the backs down then roll forward for maximum boot space on every model (except rs cup models) A feature I used to great effect to essentially turn my full fat renaultsport into a little work van. With the seats all the way back I could fit in the back behind my drivers seat with comfort (I’m 6ft) Glad to see they’ve continued the theme of maximum practicality in the smallest package theme.

Exterior styling is excellent, they should be capitalising on the 2.0l engined mk1 twingo that has entered the Nurburgring 24hr race and fling them some sponsorship money

I go through this every day without changing cars. When I’m with the wife, she has a blue badge so park in a disabled bay and not worry about anything. Out by myself and I park in a normal space and struggle to get out of the bloody car :lol:
