There’s a customer of ours with a low spec mk1 clio on the drive, still has the dealers sticker in the back window, purchased from the site the company I work for now occupies (originally a Renault showroom, got knocked down and rebuilt into a Toyota showroom that closed and we moved in 20 odd years ago)

I'd really like a mk1 Clio 1.4S with the white painted sporty steel wheels and green bumper trim etc. Except that I remember my first wife's Clio had the universal problem that the rear window seal leaked, and it's vanishingly unlikely that you'd find one which has been garaged all its life to avoid the ingress, so they will all almost certainly have a marsh and corrosion under the carpets.

Found it on street view, forgot about the twin spoilers  also don’t look as low spec as I remember

It lives outside permanently and doesn’t go anywhere so it’s probably all seized up and if it has the ex mrs. jobbo’s problem it’ll be soggy and rotten

I believe all mk1 Clios suffered with the rear window seal not sealing so even looking at a Williams, check under the boot carpet and rear footwells.

There's a couple of nice ones on Car and Classic at the moment. But they're not cheap and the rattling after 150,000 miles may be epic.
