It reminds me of years ago when this group was campaigning that electric cars should pay VED. It’s pretty hilarious though that they just shafted themselves when in the future they’ll most likely be in an EV…

While the evoke absolutely is a cunts car, it only weights 1800kg and is shorter than a lot of normal cars so a pretty poor example to use…

As bad as Islington. I went to park on a regular on-street bay for 1 hour, opened RingGo, added the bay number (61562) which said about £7 an hour, went through to the final screen and it said £14.25. For one hour, because diesel. On a residential street in Islington. FML.

Are you sure it wasn’t a 2 hour bay? They often show the maximum charge being taken before you get the money adjusted

Ahhh possibly that was it. But it did say that on the pay screen, so looked like it was amount Apple Pay was going to take and scared me off. Instead I parked in a resident's bay opposite the restaurant and kept an eye on the car for wardens.

People seem to lump anything that is tall into the planet killing 4x4 class. My wife changed her car from a Ford Focus to a Suzuki Vitara. An acquaintance asked her why she wanted a "big SUV", the Vitara is both smaller and better on fuel than the Focus

I got blocked on twitter by a Novara journo because I pointed out that a Renault Kadjar isn’t a “gas guzzling SUV”

Living in a city I can see why something might have to be done about the increasing size of cars though. It’s not like roads are getting bigger. Parking round me is already a nightmare.

Like, no one really needs a car the size of an X7 if you live in a tenement flat.
