And the great thing about consoles is all the drivers are on similar equipment and not the latest AMD 99X/6090 quantum computer.. it’s like Apple vs Android all over again!
Cheers,

Similarly, it's the console gamers you want to avoid!IanF wrote: Wed Sep 17, 2025 5:07 pm And the great thing about consoles is all the drivers are on similar equipment and not the latest AMD 99X/6090 quantum computer.. it’s like Apple vs Android all over again!![]()
I'm currently enjoying the odd game of Helldivers2, and the level of toxicity since I've turned off crossplay (so exclusively playing with PC owners) has dropped to almost zero. I'm willing to bet that on racing sims, the majority of shitty behvaiour comes from console owning peasants.

@Matty was it you I used to play Project Cars multiplayer with a few years ago? Pretty sure it was someone called 'Matt' from these 'ere parts.

Alas not me.Simon wrote: Wed Sep 17, 2025 11:33 pm @Matty was it you I used to play Project Cars multiplayer with a few years ago? Pretty sure it was someone called 'Matt' from these 'ere parts.
There used to be a few other Matt's on the old Evo forum, but I think I'm pretty much exclusive on here AFAIK.

GT3. Have been enjoying the Renault RS01: why TF did they never make a road version of this thing?
Take pole in a small but fast group. 0.38s faster than anyone else, with some consistency - my next two fastest laps would also have taken pole (by a smaller margin - duh). This is looking pretty good.
Nail a feckin demon start.
Get absolutely wiped out at T1 by P5, whose also made a very good start, but is focussing more on making up a few places than they are on their braking point. <sigh>
Not intentional at all, but my destroyer went on to win the race too…. bah
And yes it’s a phone vid of my tellybox - no idea how to capture the screen properly.

It's a very very cool looking thing and fast too but judging by the photos attached to this one for sale it'd be a nightmare to get anywhere near roadable, tiny doors, tiny cabin, semi-stressed engine mounting direct to the tub. That and ~$300k new...mik wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 9:53 am GT3. Have been enjoying the Renault RS01: why TF did they never make a road version of this thing?

Green car in your race really did the classic damage off GT "corner by ricochet" technique.

Doors don’t look much worse than a Valkyrie, which I am aware is a road car by definition only and not by comfort levelsRobYob wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 10:31 amIt's a very very cool looking thing and fast too but judging by the photos attached to this one for sale it'd be a nightmare to get anywhere near roadable, tiny doors, tiny cabin, semi-stressed engine mounting direct to the tub.
