I’m no aviation expert so hard to judge, but others seem to cruise by at ~ 2500ft, so this was probably under 1000ft

Looks like they’re out and about again today.
Our house is right on the flightpath for Mildenhall (Ely) and the activity seems very variable. Sometimes you might get 10 or more coming in inside a day, other days nowt. Been up and down for ages.

Occasionally we see the Rivet Joint spy planes. That's fun.

A bit late this one, t'other day (week :oops: ) I saw a silhouette from afar against grey sky that made me :o :!: Twin props mounted in near the fuselage on overhead mounted wings and a distinctly shaped nose & underside, I was sure I recognized it but couldn't remember the name :x
It took a while to find it because round these parts the normal google buzzwords bring up other things, but got there eventually and, as poor a view as I got, it's a spot I'm very happy to have made;

Hell yeah - brilliant day out, even if you're not that into planes. And I do mean Day out as there's so much to see.

I'm well overdue a visit - last time I went, the American Hanger was being done up so it will be good to see the SR-71 back in it's proper home.

It's worth a visit even if you're not near. I was surprised by how small the B52 fuselage was, got to tick off the 2nd TSR-2 and add another Concorde to the list.

It's out and about again today 8-)
It's maybe a bit frustrating when you can hear it but not see it but I'll take it as a Good Thing anyway.

It could be the last time you see the Lancaster for quite some time as it's having a major overhaul later this year and not due back until 2027.

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

I was out on my bike earlier when I heard the unmistakable drone of a C130 Hercules. It was too high to ID but Flightradar told me it was at 15000ft and operated by the U.S. Navy, must be a fairly rare spot in the UK.
