Sadly I have the details to hand and it would require me to do 17,640 miles. I work from home so this would be quite difficult to achieve without some serious commitment. 339 miles every single weekend ??

And ironically, my wife's i3 is probably the car that gets used the most, and obviously has a displacement of zero !

Matching bhp to annual miles might be a goer. I'll work it out...

Galaxy has developed a squeak from the nearside front that increases in frequency with speed and becomes a groan under braking. As the wheel and possibly caliber would have been off to replace the suspension, I suspect something hasn't gone back quite right. It doesn't pull and there's nothing obviously showing.

Trusted Indy is very apologetic and will take a look first thing tomorrow morning. Could be that the caliper was on the way out already and this was the final straw, but we'll see.

As we're all cramming into the Zoe for today's trip round the bottom of the M25 I thought I'd check the tyre pressures. down a PSI from recommended on all four, but as it hasn't been done in months, that's okay.

More worryingly is the tyre wear, looks like it is prematurely wearing the shoulders on the front, the rears are about a millimetre better on the sides and the same in the middle. Middle of the fronts is about 4.5 - 4.8mm (not bad for a non-EV tyre that's done about 25k miles), but the outer edges are between 2.4 - 2.7mm. I'll take it for an alignment, but looks like it'll need new tyres before long.

Yes, it' has proven itself massively useful and also does a great jump when I want to pump up the air beams in my tent, or any tyres, with a cigarette lighter adapter into it.

The Disco did some work today - collecting all the cones after the FDMC Summer Solo and taking them back to the storage unit.

Zero surprises. It’s perfectly capable of pulling a small trailer.

Perfect opportunity to get the 360 to do that, entirely for internet points. Disappointed.

On the CarPlay thing, a month or so in and the BMW implementation of it has been troublesome at least once a week whilst the Porsche one is rock solid with the same phone. I mentioned it to Mrs Mike and she's not had any issues at all with the Toyota version in 2 years of owning it so I can only assume that its reliability is still dependent to some degree on the manufacturer's own tech.
Cheers,

Mike.

Waitrose ! If only ! This was from the Co-op. Coffee & walnut - both appropriately Italian flavours.

So I got a low pressure warning on the NSR of the FFRR.

Doesn’t seem to be losing much pressure but on inspection of the sidewall it has a sizeable bulge in it and lots of cracking…
and so do the two other continentals that were on it from when I bought it.

The one I did replace for a noise cancelling Pirelli is also 4 years old and doesn’t look that great either so given the additional discount on offer, 4 new tyres it is :-(

Two new fronts on the M3 Touring, PS4, that'll be £560 please. Good thing is that there's a garage in the village which can do these so its minimum hassle with a 5 minute walk in the summer fog to pick it up.
Cheers,

Mike.

Alpine Update.

Engine has been out. The theory had been that it was needing a chain tensioner. New chain kit has been fitted including both chains, tensioners and guides. Engine refitted.

It’s. No. Different.

See 01:40.

Renault have now said they can’t look at it against n for “weeks” and won’t commit to when they will be able to.

That's rather poor customer service. Not like it is a pedestrian Clio or Kadjar. You'd think they'd do better with their halo brand.

It's not an exploded vacuum pump is it? Doesn't sound a million miles off one.

No idea.

I’m going to arrange to take it somewhere else hopefully tomorrow. This is verging on ridiculous now.
