That was my fear but he was really sound guy, and a biker too. Couldn't have been more helpful and took an offer without hesitation. He even drove it back to mine for me at 8pm last night.

Yes lol it's comedy bad. The SatNav is utter crap with an unfathomable UI and cannot be updated past 2020. I don;t really care I just use my phone anyway. But it's simple enough to stream spotify from my phone.

Has the Bowers & Wilkins upgraded hifi which sounds pretty good too. And air conditioned seats!

I know you asked SJ, but last IPA I bought was from this ebay seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282529382616. Fast delivery, well packaged etc etc.

Also worth trying this stuff - available online or in B&Q etc. First recommended to me by Richard Tipper (Perfection Valet) for removing chewing gum from my son's rear seat (car), but it's useful in many many many scenarios.

Wot Mik sed abov re IPA.

Dab it onto a cloth and gently wipe the buttons. It might just take off the top sticky layer, it might take it right back to bare plastic - which won't be ideal if the plastic underneath is white. Maybe try it on your least favourite buttons first.

IIRC, that was the 2.7 with the 6 speed ZF. Tim's engine is 0.3 more betterer and is the very well regarded ZF8HP70 box.

Also for sticky buttons, rub them in talc powder.. That usually sorts it out for a while.

Thanks chaps

Presumably also it may take off the icon on the button too. So I look like a pauper with no options. Sad face.

Would seem to cover a lot of the same ground as the Bentley - presume he uses the latter just for special occasions now.

He wanted a daily driver but with the same levels of luxury and refinement and the XJ delivers that. Every surface is covered in leather, wood, alcantara. They do feel like a sensible Bentley.
