The pump is making a pump kinda noise. Can’t be certain it’s the correct noise, as I sadly didn’t pay too much attention to it when it was running

The pump appears to be in a very annoyingly difficult location. Not easy to get out, and very much covered in horrible acid* so I can’t be bothered

Take it very to pieces. Maybe find the right thing. Order a new pump(?) fit it, hope ive made it water proof, etc etc. Then maybe find it’s a different problem as well?

Or

£180 to Mr Ao and he delivers me a new one that is probably working and takes away the old one

*actually, I think it’s an alkali solution, from touch

The process went as follows. Mrs A visited the local electrical place less than a mile from the house. Pointed at one the same as we had that had lasted 10 years or more and said. Ill have that one. Money paid and 2 hours later they had delivered installed and removed the old one.

If it's a bosch the pump is accessible from the inside and out. Check the inside first by bailing as much water out and taking out the shit filter at the bottom, pay attention to the cylindrical fine gauze filter these break up after while and let lumps past which jams the impeller (dishwasher sounds like everything normal but water doesn't empty). Our filter split and let past a few bits of sweetcorn which was enough to jam it up.
Anyway's under the fine filter is the pump outlet, just remove any obstructions from the hole, switch it back on and reset it.

It will take all of about 10 mins to do that and it's well worth it. if the filters split get on ebay and get a replacement for about £10 and job jobbed.

Sadly, it’s none of these things :-(
