Navara has just lunched a window motor. Replacement is £20 so not too bad just need to get the window up so it's closed until the new part arrives.

Also suspect it has a boost leak too as it has a whistle/rushing sound on acceleration that goes when you let your foot off the gas.

I think the next truck I get will be brand new and leased so at least it will be under warranty and have anything that goes wrong is paid for. The Navara is just a money pit.

Finally got the dent on my bonnet fixed. Met up with Paul from DentFix at a carpark, took him about an hour and 70 quid later, the dent and a couple of creases were gone. Happy with the result, and not having to part of a grand to get the bonnet repainted .

Finally got the dent on my bonnet fixed, I'm sure it was caused by the kids next door playing basketball . Took the guy about an hour and the dent is now gone. Costed 80 quid so quite chuffed with the result.

Totally forgot I posted that . It costs £70 but I gave him an extra tenner as a tip. I'll get some pictures later when it stops raining.

I fitted new wiper blades to the Audi. I know how unimportant this is, but new wiper blades make me pretty much prejaculate at just how much I love them. I think I've gone through a whole washer bottle already!

The wheel refurb/Michelin’s/breaks is now likely springs, dampers, top mounts, platforms & wheel nuts..

Did some more tinkering on The Compact, with the front stripped down I took the opportunity to remove all the a/c gubbins from under the bonnet. Quite a weight saving.

Touareg wishbones are still soaking in Plus-Gas while I build up the enthusiasm to spend a few hours battering them into submission.

I was thinking I was getting away with a minor service this October, then checked and realised it was a major, plus plugs, plus brake fluid flush... oh and it needs new front discs and pads and probably coil packs. Going to be within spitting distance of £2k I expect

My SOP when it comes to wipers is to complain about them being shit for 9 months and then eventually remember to replace them and then wonder wy I didn't do it sooner. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

That's my SOP in life, mate. I've just had the upstairs a/c fixed after a month of it not cooling properly, and me getting to sleep at 4am when it's finally cool enough.

45 minutes later and fifty quid and it's as-new - only needed the compressor intake filter cleaning FFS. Procrastination will be the death of me, if I ever get around to it.

You know how sometimes you start a job and then part way through, when you’re fully committed and can’t back out, you realise you shouldn’t have started it ? Examples:

1) joining this forum

2) deciding to change the front lower wishbones on the Touareg

After much pi55ing about trying to remove the bolts nicely I gave up and started cutting. But even that’s not simple so I had to cut the arms themselves in order to get to the bolts. This is what I was left with afterwards:

I now need to source new bolts. I probably should have done that before I started cutting. D’oh.

And while I was in there I realised it needs front brake pads too. At least those are an easy job.
