These must be quite good fun, I'm sure someone on here had one and wrote it off?

Richard had one - they're not much of a looker though (He's not been on here for a few years now though)
Re: What RWD sports car
I didn’t even know they existed until about a week ago but it ticks all the boxes

I do like the look of that. I thought they’d be much more expensive too.Rich B wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 10:22 pm in the spirit of suggesting cars like what you used to own…

Re: What RWD sports car
I was thinking out of the suggestions the 370Z is interesting, but actually I'd go M2 over that if I could. BBR MX5 appeals over the Fiat for me.
On balance, the M2 is different enough to the Elise, fast enough, and looks cool. Dunno if you can get a good one for the budget though.

Re: What RWD sports car
i expect they’re still double the budget?
Re: What RWD sports car
Would probably be my choice if I had twice the budget.
Re: What RWD sports car
and an auto to boot (not that that engine was available with a manuel)Rich B wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 10:34 pmWell that’s just mean. Friends don’t recommend Chrysler Crossfires….nuttinnew wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 10:23 pm Cheap 330bhp; https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 25&fromsra

This might (possibly, vaguely) be nearer the mark - certainly a proper car able to do miles that's not ruinous to run; https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search ... 2236861045

Nearer to £30k now but yeah, still 50% more! I think I'm going to struggle to resist one if they drop below £30k
I think my favourite suggestion so far is the S660!

"Must be RWD" - here's some 4WD cars for you
"Not ruinious" - what about an old Maserati or Aston?
"Wasn't fussed about a BMW I drove" - he's 12 different BMW's on Autotrader
"Budgets £20k" - you should buy this £35k car

Quite liked the e30 M3?
How about one that’s less common, with a shorter wheelbase and a much beefier engine?

Haven’t read to see if anyone else has suggested one. Also over budget but it’s the first one I saw on eBay and I’m sure you could get one for closer to £20k and sell it on in a year or two for the same or more.

I’ll reveal when it arrives, meantime everyone can keep suggesting luxobarges and old wooden wheelbarrowsDeskJockey wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 11:05 pm Morgan? There are 4/4s and Plus 4s in budget (just).
