Like I say, it’s a shame because it seems like a decent truck and I would’ve liked a cheap one in a few years

You’d have to really want a Grenadier to choose it over its rivals tbh.GG. wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 4:55 pmAll of the above. If I wanted all of those compromises I'd buy... a Grenadier (and still get a nice BMW 6cyl).Holley wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 11:14 amThat extra level of toughness just isn't needed here and compromises the car for everyday usability (no air suspension, 4 cylinder commercial engine, separate chassis). Don't get me wrong, I think they're great and would be a no brainer in some countries. But can see why people would rather have a plusher LR product especially at similar money. I'd like to think I would choose a LC as they're cool, but in reality would have a Defender.ZedLeg wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 10:19 am It’s a shame that British people don’t buy Land Cruisers tbh. They can actually do all the things we buy LR products for without breaking![]()
The thing is, this is the sort of thing which will probably get him more viewers. Farage has a much wider audience than Badenoch, for instance (Harry maybe should cosy up to Farage rather than Badenoch thenJobbo wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2024 7:46 pm Harry Metcalfe has promoted the ridiculous petition on Twitter - https://x.com/harrym_vids/status/186075 ... I have always had a great deal of respect for him until recently - but I think he’s crossed over from unbiased commenter now and that puts into question all of his output. Shame.
The rear has an 8 speed gear box, with a 2 speed box drawing power from the front of the crankshaft, clutch on both half shafts.integrale_evo wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2025 9:15 pm Surely it’s just a differential in front of the engine for the front wheels, not a gearbox like he kept saying?
Fair enough.MikeHunt wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:14 pmThe rear has an 8 speed gear box, with a 2 speed box drawing power from the front of the crankshaft, clutch on both half shafts.integrale_evo wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2025 9:15 pm Surely it’s just a differential in front of the engine for the front wheels, not a gearbox like he kept saying?
An extended warranty probably for the best.
Also quite ugly, and I was surprised when Harry said there was a 2-yr waiting list; I got the impression that the initial demand had been fully satisfied and there were no longer waiting lists. Maybe the guy doing £9,500 airbrushed badges on the front wings is a bottleneck in the production process.Holley wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:58 am Fairly uncomfortable seats, horrible interface, averagely practical for its class. Surely for long trips a Bentagya/RR etc would be much better suited.
Okay so it has a nice sounding V12, but I don't think my wife and kids would appreciate it whilst thrashing it through icy roads. So better if you're on your own, but if you're on your own, a F12 (even on snow tyres) would be more enjoyable. Don't see the point of the Purosangue.
I don't hate how it looks, just a bit odd in places and obviously no where near as nice as a traditional coupe.Jobbo wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 10:30 amAlso quite ugly, and I was surprised when Harry said there was a 2-yr waiting list; I got the impression that the initial demand had been fully satisfied and there were no longer waiting lists.
