It's not that one - but the later one where he says the ISC should be ashamed at bandying around worthless statistics. He doesn't apply that same level of criticism to Labour having formulated a whole policy that will affect 500,000 kids based on back of a fag packet calculations.

Obviously the reason they've done that is that Starmer is lying. It isn't being brought in to pay for schoolteachers but to attack something hard left Labour supporters abhor - therefore how much money it raises is completely irrelevant. The only thing that is starting to make them think twice is that it will actually cause chaos because there are absolutely no free state school places and they'll have thousands of kids they can't provide for.

The ridiculous thing is that at one point it was being talked of as a Conservative policy!

I can't see it getting anywhere in reality - it's just a sop to the hardcore left in Labour. There'll be plenty of legal challenges to mean it can't be implemented immediately and even the unions are now starting to make some noise.

Legal challenges? There has been some guff spouted about that as well but the reality is that no tax law has ever been subject to legal challenge in the UK, and the forum for such a challenge would be the European Court of Human Rights so best wishes to the hardline Brexiters who try to use that - it doesn’t have any political risk that I can see; oh no

Thats a pretty conservative thought process though, not every policy is aimed at solely improving your life.

The Tories seem 100% set on the idea that lowering taxes at the expense of public services is a good thing.

I wasn’t talking about me. There will be resistance to this policy due to it personally affecting some important people within the party.

It was a minority report video I saw of like Tim Pool or someone saying that black folk would see that he’s been screwed over by the law and find affinity.

Conveniently forgetting that Trump is one of America’s foremost users of the law to victimise minority people.
