My normal 9 mile commute ends up around 17-18, long journeys sometimes see 24 maybe?Orange Cola wrote: Sat Aug 25, 2018 9:58 pm What an epic trip to do in a hard core 911![]()

Amazing how much more efficient modern V8's are compared to yesteryear where 12mpg was par for the course.Rich B wrote: Sun Aug 26, 2018 8:51 pmMy normal 9 mile commute ends up around 17-18, long journeys sometimes see 24 maybe?Orange Cola wrote: Sat Aug 25, 2018 9:58 pm What an epic trip to do in a hard core 911![]()

I used to get about 8 mpg out of the V12 in the Jaguar XJR-15Orange Cola wrote: Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:45 amAmazing how much more efficient modern V8's are compared to yesteryear where 12mpg was par for the course.Rich B wrote: Sun Aug 26, 2018 8:51 pmMy normal 9 mile commute ends up around 17-18, long journeys sometimes see 24 maybe?Orange Cola wrote: Sat Aug 25, 2018 9:58 pm What an epic trip to do in a hard core 911![]()

Safer driving a V12, you get to take frequent enforced breaks from driving on a long journeySSO wrote: Mon Aug 27, 2018 1:33 pmI used to get about 8 mpg out of the V12 in the Jaguar XJR-15Orange Cola wrote: Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:45 amAmazing how much more efficient modern V8's are compared to yesteryear where 12mpg was par for the course.Rich B wrote: Sun Aug 26, 2018 8:51 pm My normal 9 mile commute ends up around 17-18, long journeys sometimes see 24 maybe?

High stress actually. The XJR-15 did not have a fuel gauge, just a low fuel light. To this day, I have not idea if it was accurate or worked properly.Orange Cola wrote: Mon Aug 27, 2018 2:27 pmSafer driving a V12, you get to take frequent enforced breaks from driving on a long journeySSO wrote: Mon Aug 27, 2018 1:33 pmI used to get about 8 mpg out of the V12 in the Jaguar XJR-15Orange Cola wrote: Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:45 am
