Wow! The wheel is OK but those seats look like Freddy Kruger eviscerated batman!
Cracking car though, and you could get some nice bead seat covers...

It's grey - Grigio Titanio. The other one I posted was silver - Argento Nurburgring. Gotta be precise with these things !!

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread
The red is not so bright in real life, more like oxblood. I'd still like to change the steering wheel but the seats are actually OK.
I've deposited on it (so to speak ??), paying the balance next week, due to be delivered to me Thu/Fri.

Many apologies for my tardiness. After Le Shuttle, I've chauffeured the children (the better half joins us next Friday) about 180ish miles further towards Copenhagen. Currently in a hotel in Utrecht for the night. Just another 500ish miles to go tomorrow.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 8:32 pmHe's had two hours. He clearly doesn't care about me any more

Anyway. I'm guessing it is a Grigio Titanio 360 Fezza. Your first I believe.

Close enough, I'll let you take the win. It is actually a Grigio Titanio 360 Fezza with a gurning selfie.DeskJockey wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 8:52 pm Anyway. I'm guessing it is a Grigio Titanio 360 Fezza. Your first I believe.

^ Good work Alex lol
Why the F1 over the Manuel SJ?
I'm sure both would be fabulous just a question as the market seems to favour a Manuel!

Re: Evidently NOT the Shortest Ever "Guess The Car" Thread
It does, and that probably was the deciding factor in all honesty, that on my budget a manual was unlikely to happen. The silver manual that I posted was sold almost instantly. I enquired about it, it's due to be collected next week, but the seller is leaving the advert running until it's gone. Not very helpful !
But also I was F1-curious. I've never had an automated manual. From what I've read they're just a bit marmite, as opposed to being universally slated. I figured they'd be more RACE CAR and that seemed appropriate on a car like this. And experiencing it today I was very impressed. In normal driving it's far smoother than I was expecting. Really smooth. It only gets harsh if you flat shift at high revs. A little practice (& mechanical sympathy) will help there. And honestly, I don't drive like that anyway.
The cabin is plenty big enough for me - better than the Aston - and the ride seemed fine. Engine noise is less than I expected too, even though it's right behind you. It's a bit of a weird feeling actually, looking over your shoulder and seeing the engine there ! It has a Capristo exhaust and it's too loud for me. I'm too old for that stuff. They seem to be worth good money though (like, £1k even second hand) so that'll be coming off and recouping some ££s. I've already got a stock exhaust on the way for £120 It also has an Alpine head unit & amp fitted; I'll replace those with Becker & JL from my stock and sell them on.
I'm paying £43,500 for the car, if I get £1k back from the exhaust and radio then I'm in for £42,500 in total and that seems like a good deal right now.

Woo-hoo, we got there in the end
It's very cool to see you've got a Ferrari - I assume this will be coming on the forum meetup day? Looking forward to seeing it!

Oh - and the "full service history" isn't Gaps and missing invoices but plenty of invoices - some quite chunky - for other stuff, mainly from Meridien who are Ferrari main agents so the owner, who had it from 2012 up until the start of this year, wasn't too scared of spending. It made a reasonable haggling point. Fairly consistent MOT history though confirming it's not done many miles.
It's feels like my kind of car.

Good work, what could possibly go wrong with a cheap Ferrari.
Tempted to cost a manual conversion? I’m sure the folk that do the BMW SMG conversions do F1 boxes too.
