FWIW I admire your almost ownership of an E46 Cab, it was only a few months ago I was looking at something very similar when I couldn't find a decent E38. I like to stay close to my grass roots of cheap BMW motoring

I'd recommend the auto MSCAN one, as the switching is a PITA

I've got the wifi one, which is fine for general shenanigans but the USB one and a Windows laptop is recommended if you, say, want to update your Converse+ firmware, for obvious stability reasons.
