Well I’ve only driven 170 ish miles; it feels like a C2 turned up to 11

It’s just a bit sharper in everything it does. Turn in is sharp.... I feel the need to respect it; I’ll need to do an airfield day to see what happens if it steps over the mark. It feels like it’s a mid-engine car but of course everything is adjustable so once I have done a few more miles, if it really does feel too ‘sensitive’ (I don’t want to use the word ‘snappy’ as it’s not), then I’ll speak to somebody who knows about setting up these cars. It tracks quite well on B roads though, I can drive it with loose grip on the steering wheel.

The buckets enhance that road racer feeling also.

Engine as I mentioned is just more muscular and with extra vtec like zing at the top, but the ‘change over’ perhaps not as violent as my Integra DC2. The C2 engine is linear and silky smooth.

C2 is a great car in its own right, but overall the Integra DC2 feels more special. C2 is huge fun near/over its limits though.... on track especially; it is relatively easy to catch when oversteer. (in the dry)

When I drove my mate's GT3 (997.1) it was the dartiness that really impressed me. I know next to nothing about driving 911s, and the speed wasn't really that mindblowing as on paper it's not thaaaaaaaaat much quicker than the Audi (let alone the bikes) but the handling - absolutely wonderful.

Love it mate, it's a superb spec as well with those seats. Guards red looks so right on a 996 GT3.

To save up for a car like that the way you did is hugely impressive too, which makes it all the sweeter. Best thing is that I know you'll use it as it was intended rather than wrapping it up in cotton wool, can't wait for that p-ride.

The bonnet and bumper were resprayed recently; I’ve already booked it in for PPF so I wouldn’t feel too so bad about stone chips and stuff. Normally I wouldn’t bother but this is my forever car.

My GT3: 3.6L, 375bhp, 284lb/ft

Basically double of everything

Another thing, the only other options I wish it has are leather dash / door cards, and white gauges. My C2 had both and just made the interior more special.

Track weapon wasn't a track weapon though, it was a polisher's wet dream.
