I think it's a good choice for lots of different reasons - at least, as a neutral speaking, the market is opened up a bit. I do think it's time to ditch some of the old blood who are just collecting their pay-check (Kimi), and let some of the youngsters have a go.

For DR he is 29 and has to start looking at what he can accrue in his NatWest piggybank, so I don't blame him at all.

Supposedly the difference between him and Schumacher was that yes they’re both ruthless cunts on track but Schumacher was a decent person off the track and to his own team.
Wasn’t it Alonso who was selling secrets?

Am I the only one who would dearly love to see Kimi win one more race before he retires?

Alfonso Dolmio has burned his bridges at every team capable of winning a race. He may as well just go to Indycar now.

No, there's at least two of us. Well, three including Kimi. :)

Do we think Kimi will be out at the end of this year then?

Almost certainly, he's out of Ferrari and I can't see him joining a crap team just to keep driving.

I do wonder if someone like Williams will make him an offer he can't refuse so they can re-develop their car.

I'm going to play the wild card of both out, Stroll and Kubica to be in next year. Kubica because he's mentored Stroll for a bit and they think he can help with the team.

I'd personally keep stability in the team for the first year of running to see what's going right and what could be improved. They're best of the rest after all, why change it if it ain't broke?

I agree, and isn't Ocon a Mercedes driver? They might have to keep him there, to keep Mercedes sweet on their engine supply.

Looks like Stoffel gets his bacon saved so he can continue another year with his lacklustre performances.

In more surprising news Kimi is rumoured to have a 2 year contract extension at Ferrari.
How about not having a sig at all?
