Looks very very saleable. Oddly enough it was Jonny from tlbs who sent me the link. As if I don’t have enough on my hands already 🤣🤣

I've found a way for you to balance the urge to purchase with the problems of storage; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144080338537 ... SweIxgtrBw

Arguably bad taste considering the number of people that died but in terms of the brightness and intensity of the colour (that was intended rather than how it is now...) I can see the logic.

Speaking of bad names, this sprung into my mind, of many many years ago, when Gavster & I saw a model of caravan named "pastiche". It means "copy" and generally insinuates a bad copy. Yet this manufacturer thought it was a good name. It's a pastiche of a caravan ? That's not good.

(not my pic):
Hmm, come to think of it, it's probably perfect now, after being found buried.

Pastiche*? He probably thought "I can call it what I like, the world's my lobster".
* I know what pastiche means, no need to be condescending**.
** Condescending means... ;)

Edit to add; continuing to speak of bad names, not sure if Scarborough Tropic was fully recognized. I probably should have put Scarboro Tropic (maybe Scarlboro).

Wow. That doesn’t even seem like a ludicrous price either.

A perfect stablemate for my 911, they both have rear-mounted flat six engines. A 1963 Chevrolet Corvair. Check out the fan belt arrangement.

the perfect stablemate, in that the 911 is good at everything and the Corvair is terrible at everything?!

That belt arrangement is hilarious!

The Corvair wasn’t as bad as it’s rep suggests. Similar problems to Porsches of the era with unruly handling were overblown by Unsafe At Any Speed. They replaced the swing arm rear suspension with a fully independent setup that resolved most of it.

The main issue with them is that if they’re overheated the engines are pretty much junk. The aluminium block warps with heat and you’ll never get the valves to seat properly again.

However you could always make a mid engined one

That is very cool! You're right, I wouldn't have bought it, but it worries me that when I do have more room, that's exactly the sort of thing I will end up buying!
Cheers,

Mike.

It's not even road legal and it's probably not even a particularly good chicken coop. It's a no from me.
