Re: Le Mans
Just listening to the dire Eurosport commentary - in 1991 when Mazda won they sold more cars in the following week to the value of an extra 2 billion (dollars presumably). Can’t be right can it? If it were surely Audi and Porsche would still be here as it would be profitable. Or are the public so si...
Re: Le Mans
It would be much better if it were just LMP2 and GTE cars. Keep having good races in the above classes ruined by the odd LMP1 making its way through. Buemi won’t be a popular man, queue Toyota bringing in the 7 car for an extra long pitstop. They’ve even not bothered having Alonso in the car for mor...

Re: Anyone know anything about generators?
You’ll need quite a bit more than the wattage on the items states IME as when motors start up they have a power surge and end up tripping out the fuse on the generator. Generators usually state a working output and can temporarily give more wattage for such occurances but a lot of them just quote th...

Yeah, when looking to see if a car is moving closer or further away from me there’s usually a better clue in the form of an actual car actually moving closer or further away...
Re: Le Mans
I thought the LMP1 category was on equal footing but watching qualifying yesterday it’s anything but. It’s Toyotas race to lose as the non-hybrid LMP1 cars have so many restrictions which makes no sense as you would expect them to be slower anyway. They have odd rules such as having to lap slower th...

Re: Harry M and the Project 8
I just think modern Jags end up looking dated way too quickly and don’t age gracefully either. When the F type first came out I thought i’ll definitely consider buying one of those when used prices are sensible, after a few years I thought it looked crap. Same with the XE. Project 8 looks ok but I g...

Re: Plastidip morons
I reckon between choice of wrapping an entire car or using plastidip I’d still prefer to dip unless you want a colour which is only available in a wrap. At least when you’re tired of it you can just peel it off rather than having to get every bit of exterior trim disassembled and having score marks ...

Re: Plastidip morons
It’s clearly a MOT fail and the Police can pull them over quoting the relevant bit of the RTA they love so much. Speaking of plastidip the prices are a joke now, I went to order a gallon last night and it’s now £120 a gallon for a custom colour - it has almost doubled in price... although I still ha...

That’s the same price as BMW charge to do a big service on a v10 M5/M6, which has a lot more oil, spark plugs, LSD oil, fuel and oil filter and M tax.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
As a non bike guy I agree with most of the racing/sports bikes being good looking, although the older ones look a bit too rectangular side on. I don’t think any KTM is good looking. And really big touring bikes look shit. Especially those massive Hondas and BMWs with the angel eye bollocks going on....

Had the same on my Mito, spend all of a minute putting a jubilee clamp on it. About 2 years later the stainless clamp was the only part of the exhaust that didn’t turn to dust

The French and Italians do ‘tinned’ tuna nicely. By tinned I mean the line caught tuna they put in glass jars with proper olive oil. It’s good stuff.

Re: Singapore Summit
I wonder if Kim's plan is to open up the country in a careful manner to the wider world so he's able to develop the enconomy and get very rich very quickly whilst retaining power. In return the US get a base right on the door step of China and Russia. This is what I think. Young Kim knows he won’t ...

Re: Fortnite BR
The original idea of a battle royal game came from the Minecraft PvP servers so better watch what they play on that.
I think Fortnight and PUBG are a pile of crap anyway.
