Re: New 911
Judged on those merits it seems to make sense other that the removal of the rear seats which is clearly just to be able to say it is only 50kg more than the old one, rather than nearly 100kg. I skim watched the vid and missed this. So all 911's will be 2+0 as standard now with 2+2 as an option? End...

Re: New 911
so it sounds like a pointless box-ticking exercise. Agree, but it's a direction they are being forced in. It's not a hybrid like other hybrids, but it allows them to tick the box with minimal weight gain - focussing on enhancing the driving experience. Quick google for regulations around % of EV sa...
Re: New 911
Why has it gone "hybrid" when all the motor seems to do is provide more power? Regs & quotas. On one hand it's disappointing that it can't run in full electric mode, but on the other hand they have ticked the hybrid box and focussed on how they leverage the system to improve the drivi...
Re: New 911
- it’s apparently a hybrid but the way they described it, it seems no more of a hybrid than my Audi - the electric turbocharger is familiar and I don’t think it can do more than coast on electricity alone . Watson said as much in a vid I watched over breakfast (his was the first one that popped up ...

E-Tron reads ahead so you are down to the limit as you enter it.

Re: The House Projects Thread
Our assumption is that the judge has looked at the large quantity of paperwork and assumed this is a complex case, rather than a yes/no to the question of "did you provide access to a surveyor?". The multi track also brings a bunch of pre-trial protocols that need to be addressed, startin...

Re: Speed Limiters - July '24
Barry - the systems Shirley need to get better before this crap is introduced. There is a section of road that I travel sporadically that is a 20-limit. If I am in mrs-mik's E-Tron (which is generally very good at getting the limit right) I tend to use the cruise, but if I set it to 23, the car alw...

@GG. It sounds like it's starting on diesel. Flip the tap so it uses petrol for startup too.

Mr Murray is at the taller end of the scale at 6'4" (193cm). He was keen to ensure taller drivers fitted.DeskJockey wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 8:42 am F1. I suspect that I won't fit in any of them anyway, so I'll take the pretty one.

Re: The House Projects Thread
Home Alone house for sale. Lots of (Mercuns?) complaining on twitter that they’ve not kept the interior as it was for the film (although apparently most of it was filmed on a set, it was modelled on the actual house interior). I feel Kevin could have done something with the half(?) basketball court....

107 thousand bhp sounds pretty nuts, but then you realise it’s only making 4.25bhp/litre

1. A white 991 (non GT flavour) as I came through the Clyde tunnel. Commented to Mrs mik that you rarely see white non-GT 911s, and 15 seconds later a white 997 came the other way. 2. AC 3000. Never seen one before - only really recognised it due to a set of Top Trumps cards I had a a kid! Lib...

I drove to Pompei (about 12 years ago). Was fine. Driving in Naples was feckin horrendous though.
