Re: Lego

There are a couple of official sets that come with multiples of troopers I think, folk tend to buy a couple of them to farm the minifigs. Or AliExpress. You can get knockoff mini figures on Ali Express?? 🤯 I guess that makes sense though! I keep an eye on the Lepin Reddit and there's plenty of alte...

Re: Lego

It's almost time to start making the UCS AT-AT which has been gathering dust for 9 months or so. Only thing is, my OCD is struggling to have learned there's 40 seats inside it and they only give you 5 mini figures. Can I avoid trying to collect snowtroopers to fill the damn thing? There are a coupl...

Also, and I blame Robyob completely if I buy this when picking up my daughter later, this looks great value:

I like it. But £231k base, £255k as tested.
Priced to hunt Porschephile whales. Probably with great albeit depressing success.

That's absolutely mental  I know he's probably leaving a fair bit on the table for safety but those speeds in a road car.... Code brown.

Re: Lotus Driving Academy Experience

Sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to have a go in an Emira someday. I did once many years ago apply to be an casual employee/instructor at Hethel and had to do a few laps with Martin Donnelly observing. I very much did not make the cut  I don't know what was harder, attempting to drift an Elis...

Re: The Movie Thread

With all the spowart floating around at the moment I though our family movies should be on theme this weekend. Next goal wins the intro by a tripped out Taiki was not a good start, but once it got going it was a lot of fun. Cool Runnings this was a staple of school video afternoons waaaaay back and ...

Re: Home network help

Factory reset the router? (Advanced turning it off and on again)

I had really weird issues with my (cheap/free) two year old router from my ISP and turning off and on again didn't help but a reset did.

Re: No F1 thread?

Piastri is not the #2 driver and even if he was Norris got caught with his pants down in that chicane and even a #2 will struggle to pass up a gift like that. You can see Norris lifted early then as Oscar swept past Lando tried to reclaim the corner and then stitched himself up doing it to lose a fu...

Re: The Movie Thread

Alien Romulus Meh. I went in expecting good things....and while they did a fantastic job of the effects, it's follows the standard Alien storyline so there's no suprises, it's not scary or tense at all (just a couple of jump scares) and parts of it just make no sense at all. It's not a patch on the...

Re: Lotus Emira

Good video. Sad that Lotus are dropping the ball in delivery delays and quality as clearly they're making something extremely desireable still. I followed up by watching their Cayman video and it's interesting that the Manual/DSG and Cup/Not tyres seem to balance out in terms of times. Corvette is a...

Pretty cool, personally I'd have gone with a more road/street compatible styling with more restrained splitter and venturis.
