Bought a second car to go with the Skoda Enyaq - 2008 Ford C-Max 1.8 petrol Zetec. 55k miles with about 5k done in the last 4 years. It's basically going to be something we need in emergencies and throw loads of garden clippings in for the tip.
9 months MOT on it but needs a wheel bearing doing on ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I wasn't sure if there was a NC500 thread but its been mentioned in here.
Now I'm up here, if anyone is wondering at what point the roads become f*cking busy with camper vans and lots of cars from down south who don't know how to drive on something that isn't a motorway, its this last week ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Kona has gone back with a Skoda Enyaq 85 Edition in its place.
Very quiet and refined, and quite a bit more space and nearly twice the boot size. It has got 80 more bhp than the Kona but also weighs about 250kg more so it doesn't feel hugely quicker but then you realise how quick you're going ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I also ran low on screen wash yesterday.
The mito is particularly annoying as with the headlights on it washes the lights every single time you use the washers to clean the screen so seems to guzzle gallons of the stuff, and the washer bottle is pretty small.
Thinking of sticking a switch in ...

Tucson 1.6t, actually better than expected after having a hybrid variant before.
No adaptive cruise but otherwise well screwed together. Not sure if I'd pay 20k+ for one mind. Lane assist is shat and can't find a way to turn it off. Nobs better than this touch screen nonsense.
Steering wheel ...

Re: State of the Roads
A19 past Wolviston, massive improvement, mainly because they went from the 2 lanes of world’s noisiest piece of concrete to 3 lanes of pretty decent tarmac- however the extra lane was the biggest waste of money in the world as no fucker uses it and continues to do 55 in the middle lane :evil ...

Re: SOS buttons
A few times by accident. It calls 999.
I don't think any of them do that. The BMW ones call a nice lady who asks if you're ok and then does various stuff. She can't help you pick up a 250kg bike down a single track green lane though.
And it's annoying when it decides to throw an ...

The overriding thing i'll take away from the experience however is the nannying.
That’s pretty much anything modern really. My focus is a 2020 car and has such niceties as
Auto lights- only auto in the dark so you look like a cunt if you forget in daylight rain
My old 2012 Focus had a ...

I can only advise not to buy a Neilsen Dent Remover Kit. It was utter rubbish.

Lovely looking (at least from the inside) Phaeton - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 433591851/
Edit - it's also in Shotton Colliery so a quick drive up the A19 to see it.

Re: Manual or Auto
Horses for courses. I wouldn't want a manual SUV, nor would I want a torque converter auto in a sports car (Jag F type I'm looking at you).
That. Disco3/4 would have been 'orrible with manuel boxes. Conversely, the CVT on my mum's Honda Jazz is hateful, and I am extremely suspicious of auto ...

Re: EQB300 review
I was actually looking at one on our work scheme today. It was a 350 AMG Line so I think base spec as it doesn't look like there's any non-AMG(line, it's not a 4.0 V8 unfortunately) models. Is available for 440 a month fully covered so I'd be happy to go with that if my lease was due to end soon ...

I've been looking into posting into this thread, but as I'm not an acid poster I just sort of left it. That is very sad news though, Mik. Hope you and your family are able to remember the very long good times you had with her.

Only a few minutes away from me. I'll have a look if you're interested.
I might be interested myself! The home charger has failed after having a new meter installed earlier this week and we've got to drive nearly 200 miles today then about 550 tomorrow.
Thanks for the offer, I have too ...

Re: Does Anyone Live in Manchester ?
I'm at the Warehouse project in Manchester on Saturday for a Hacienda night. Anyone been there?
I was last there a couple of years ago to see Pete Tong, Camelphat and Hot Since 82. Also went to the old one round the corner before it moved to Mayfield. It's a very big space inside compared to ...

@Zonda_ Have just checked - it was Warden Law - which also seems to be known as Karting North East in Sunderland.
Only around 5 minutes drive or about 20 minutes walk for me.
I've only been on once, I think for my 12th birthday. My brother lost his shoe mid race and decided to stop and get ...
