Re: small mugs

I thought you meant the half sized mugs that kids get with disney characters on them. Big mugs are as bad as samll mugs though. A mid sized mug (aka Normal) is the correct sizing. I have a mug that with a hot drink in, reveals one of my manuy sisters smiling at me, Sadly,it is too large to actually ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

@Gavin I don’t find the S6 attracts any particular attention like that, so I think the S4 is maybe a bit more flashy to make other drivers want to prove themselves. The MX5 does attract attention but it’s mostly smiles and waves, though white vans like to tailgate in 30 limits. Could be the mirror ...

Re: Lego

Was out for a curry with a couple of mates for a belated birthday meal and one of them gifted me a large FW14B, complete with tiy Nige! Happy days.

We are off to Rhodes for a week on Wednesday but I may have a crack before we go. No idea how big the set is when built, but it is a decently sized box!

Re: Your fleet running reports

Car wheels all got powder coated last week. The car itself has decent paint so they lift the wheels to match. I went with the refurb chap's recomendation and they are a sort of metallic anthracite grey. On a Black car I am not 100% convinced, but better than 7 year old slightly tatty diamon cut and ...

I recently started playing badminton again, and you now have to get Badminton shoes. So I now own some incredibly shiny white and lime Babolat, or Bobolat or something like that. I have not driven in them, as yet.

The Mini went away to get the dent pulled, or panel replaced or whaever they did, and very clean and shinty it was on handback. Because BMW makes the Mini, they did a like for like replacement of a Mercedes GLB 200 with jobbie brown seats. It had all the illuminated turbine air vents and several scr...

Re: No F1 thread?

I watched Driver's PC yesterday or teh day before, and Lance Stroll has always come across as largely disinteresetd in doing interviews, and fair enough, Not everyone can be bothered to sparkle when answering the same questions again and again, but he just seems like he doesn't want to be there. The...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Visited my Parents who are at the other end of the M90 and A9 plus a wee cross country shlep at the end. 205 miles there, 205 back. The Audi got 43.5 MPG on the way up and 39ish on teh way back, despite it being down hill. That is more that the diesel Merc ever got. I didn't buy it for economy (obvi...

Re: No F1 thread?

What penalty did Seb get when he rammed Hamilton a few years back? I have forgotten. A 10 second stop and go which would be about 26 seconds loss. Cheers. Vettel's was probably more petulant, but no faster or more dangerous, so the oft mentioned lack of consistency is there again. Perhaps the rules...

We have may of both, but have a long established RR/LR dealer in the next twon over. Where I got my car in fact. (NOt RR or LR) and seem to be a mix of tradesman's wives on the school run and tweed clad, florid face fishermen and hunters. Farmers tend to be in japanese pickups with ten milion miles ...

Lovely, I did wonder why you were getting an estate when you had the M3, clearly I missed it going away! :)

They look the absolute danglies.

Re: No F1 thread?

You have to hope that, although Horner et al at RB nack him publicly regardless, they do speak to him afterward, but I very much doubt it. The fact the team back him no matter how dirtily he drives is not making him such a likable human. I quite like his blunt manner, and he is clearly one of the ve...

Re: Panicky overtakees

Talking about overtaking, it's absolute pea soup up here for miles and there's some poor sod doing Lands End to John o'Groats in an old tractor. All of this is creating the perfect storm of the A9 north going at 20 mpg with nobody able to pass until he pulls in to a layby. I am glad it is next week...

Did my first park run in ages. Most of the training I did for the endurnce thingy (and I use the term training in the loosest sense) was hiking and cycling, so not really run much for a good while. I did not enjoy it! :D Defiitely need to get out a couple of times a week again while the weather is w...

Re: No F1 thread?

I watch so little of the build up or after race analysis these days, and often play about on my phone whilst watching the race. Monaco really should be axed, or just give points for qualifying and don't bother with the race. I know they had hoped to make the racing better, and kudos to them for havi...

Cheers Scott. I suspect that just getting a better pressure washer would do the trick, but I am too lazt to drag everything out, then plug it in as I have to get everything round from the back shed as I have no power outside, so have to run an extension right round. Was hoping something manual woul...

Re: Manual Snow Foamer

Bought one of these in Aldi today. https://www.aldi.co.uk/product/auto-xs-snow-foam-sprayer-000000000000642785 Great for a quick wash to get the dust and pollen off. Just used this and the hose after a 5 minute dwell. Need to fully pressurise it 2 or 3 times to cover the whole car but definitely wo...
