Re: Wimby Line Judges
I think only French Open left with line judges. Seems a bit of an unnecessary change. The players can do a silly pointless challenge but it just shows how close the ball was to being in. Utterly stupid that.

Re: The Movie Thread
Saw the F1 film, didn’t want to go at the weekend as I thought it would be packed and 100 people rustling popcorn bags is my idea of psychological torture. There were only 12 other people today! It’s a solid 7/10 - naturally I thought the off track story was much stronger but the on track stuff make...

Re: Solar Power. A Mini Adventure.
I expanded my woodland off grid solar at the end of last year. Now have 2x 300w panels and a cheap Chinese 2kwh black Friday lithium battery that I would in no way trust in an indoors environment. It produced enough electricity in winter to run a router and a small dehumidifier in a metal shed which...

Re: No F1 thread?
If McLaren have started this suspension design since the beginning of this year then how come they had the tyre temperatures under control since the middle of last year? I don’t think this is the big advantage. The Mercedes has adjustable suspension mounting points for anti dive optimisation since l...

Re: Ferrari Amalfi
Wasn’t it meant to be a Maserati before Ferrari decided they’d like the design - could be a fake rumour though. I think it’s an improvement, the grill on the last one was awkward and it now has actual buttons inside. Still has a V8. The Ferrari line up is now quite odd. The baby Ferrari has a V8, th...

I’m wondering how you’d get the one with the rotating collar off. Aside from welding.

Re: I may have made a mistake
I thought I could frame the netting on the ground and then have it mounted on hinges, so it could be hinged up and then the enclosure could be dragged but I’m not sure I actually trust this design at all. Reading online a fox can burrow 3-6 metres overnight and a badger can burrow 3 times as much as...

https://i.ibb.co/Gvg77wpR/IMG-5184.jpg They’re pretty big now, had to build them a new cage as they kept flying out the cardboard box. Also they never imprinted onto me but my dog, which I’m sure will do wonders for their survival instinct  I guess I need to think about building them a perman...

Re: No F1 thread?
The McLaren wheel/brake cooling tech must be incredible. They could go flat out for every lap and keep their tyres alive. I don’t think any other car could push for more than 4 laps.

Re: The House Projects Thread
A small project to fix the garage roof. It had open rafters, was not insulated and bits of sand/grit kept falling from the underside of the roof. Just annoying in general. https://i.ibb.co/F45xyKqM/IMG-5149.jpg Started off boarding it up and left 2 slots for access. This alone made a huge temperatur...
